30+ Division

Players in the 30+ division must be 30 years old by the end of the current calendar year or older. Players 48+ who are looking for a higher level of competition are permitted to join this division. The 30+ division is Ponce's most competitive division, though all skill levels are accepted, and very much welcomed. We have players of all skill levels and backgrounds in the 30+ division - from little league through professional baseball.

There are separate 30+ leagues in MD and VA. If odd numbers of teams participate there are occasionally games in the state your team isn’t based in.

In this division, you will encounter a variety of pitch speeds - from the low-60's to the high-70's. But rest assured, most pitchers throw on the lower end of the spectrum. However, most pitchers are also capable of throwing different pitch types. You can expect to see fastballs, curveballs, sliders, and even an occasional knuckleball. 

In order to keep the competition level fair, pitchers are required to be 36 years old to pitch in the 30+ division. This rule was established to cut down on the velocity of the pitches which gives all players an opportunity to hit the ball.
